morning had to go ntu to listen to an 2 hr econs lecture. a wonderful sat morning spoilt by a responsible lecturer -.-" he said it was to make up for the one we missed on mon. he too hardworking. my bio lab third week then start and the engineering physics lecture begins in the second week only. lol. so economics seem rather ok. quite logical but after a while will get a bit blur with all the demand-supply graphs.
anyway in NTU, there is no more spoonfeeding by kind teachers with detailed lecture notes.. and the lecturer doesnt seem to care whether you come in late or not. some ppl come in half an hour late and the lecturer doesnt even blink an eye. imagine in nj- mr lum's maths lecture. you will be embarrassed like siao.. dunno how many pairs of eye staring at you. the lecturers just come in and greet us, start talking continuously for the next 1-2 hr before ending with a thank you. in between, they dont seem to care if someone leaves/ barges in. maybe its because they have too many students to take care of or maybe he/she thinks that missing out impt information is already considered as punishment for the student.
by the way, i observed what everybody was wearing and concluded that the safest attire to wear to school is a t shirt+ jeans with a pair of covered shoes. flip flops are also acceptable but they cannot be worn to lab. some ppl try to stand out by wearing spaghetti straps/ dresses/ putting heavy make up. and.. i saw quite a few guys who pierced their ear holes.. errr... but surprisingly not a lot of ppl dyed their hair. i cant differentiate how old some of the students are. some look ok like ard our age.. others look like they are in their mud 30s since they dress till so mature. worse still, i dunno whether those ppl wearing shirts are post graduates or professors. but actually i think even if the dean walk pass me i wouldnt even know.
