howl's moving castle. LF's moving headache. i dont know why but this title of a nice show suddenly popped into my mind when i was typing this. lol. i guess i have been sleeping a lil later than normal so my body started to protest. had a headache (on sunday) which began on the right side of my head. which migrated to the center.. and finally today it decided to shift to the left side. siao.. luckily it isnt very serious. but this headache is idiotically persistent. erm if there is such a way of phrasing it.. anyway, i know the problem will be solved with a good sleep. luckily its wed tmr.
had lab yesterday. was doing DNA analysis. those digestion by restriction enzymes and gel electrophoresis. my TA accidentally spilled one whole container of some fresh fast blast staining dye( i dont know the exact name ) on the floor. most of the mat was stained blue. really fast. i was thinking " wow, gone case. must spend money to buy new mats alr ". The TA also panicked. all of us started to help her dry the floor and pick up the broken glass pieces. but the big patch of blue stain was still there. after a while, the more senior teaching staff was informed of this incident and they quickly came over with some alcohol and CIF. yes its CIF. they sprayed alcohol and CIf + did a lot of rubbing/scrubbing using jumbo size toilet paper. within minutes, the whole mat was sparking clean. i seriously think that they shld have recorded this now. it is even more convincing than those tv commercials.
my friend commented that lab coats shouldnt be white. i said it is to look more cool and professional. then she said oh ya. if black then we will all look like flashers. LOL
