im watching 家门的荣光 currently .. because the term 族谱 was mentioned many many times, i got curious and questioned my father if such a thing existed in our family. to my astonishment, indeed there is... 0.o
he dug out an old dusty book from a certain cupboard.. so according to the words written on it [ using fan ti zi.. looks really authentic], my dad was the 24th generation.. so im the 25th generation of the xu family alr.. lol. i didnt know we have such a long history.. so by right.. by left.. using the estimation that nearly 3 generations exist in 100 yrs, my ancestors had already existed in the qing dynasty, ming dynasty and maybe even before [ if i didnt get my facts wrong]... wow thats really cool..
ps: koh shi yi next time you can come to my hse to check it out. lol. maybe you might be a very very very distant relative of mine. who knows? haha
