i was at prawn-fishing.. ok.. so the story continues
hmm so xp, wee, lu and i met at westmall first to makan our lunch. pastamania. i ordered baked rice. forgot what * baked rice. [ i shall elaborate on this later]. xp ordered something funghi. lol. lu had dunno what pasta. it was so dry that she had to request for more sauce. wee had.. oh the same as me. dory baked rice. 0.o .. can tell by my description that the food there not very memorable right? hahaha
then we got on the mrt. the intended destination was orchard. TO SHOP. i thought maybe there would be some flood sales. haha. but then talk and talk. first i say next time lets go minds cafe to play.. i think i was decribing the saboteur game to them. then i mentioned prawn-fishing too. then whoa. lu said she went prawn-fishing with her family before and that it was really fun. then xp added on something. then finally, very spontaneously, we decided on prawn-fishing, with xp leading the way.
its not very cheap. $14 per hr for one rod. then of you rent 2 hrs, you get one hr free. and if you pay $2 more, you get another rod for one hr. so we paid a total of $3o. shared among all of us. prawn fishing is quite fun. its a test of your patience, especially when there is so many jian xia swimming abt.
how? you have to attach the bait [ can get more anytime you need] to the hook before swinging it into the water. from my observation, the spots where the prawns usually hide is near the centre of the pond, where all the oxygen pipes are located. then you need to wait patiently, moving your rod abt occasionally.. a small red thingy which is able to bob on the water is also attached to the rod, so once you see the red thing submerged in water, quickly pull! ah but whether you manage to get the prawn is another thing. the timing is impt. but too bad i am in no position to tell you abt the app timing since one jian xia ate my bait twice. another jian xia did to me again as well. soo.. yea. do try. its fun.
achievements : wee - 2 prawns. me - 2 prawns. lu - 1 prawn. xp - 1 prawn. [scooped up] haha. but i believe lu and xp will definitely be able to catch more if wee and me gave them more time to hold the rod. first-timers ma. of course we were more excited. haha. AND one kind uncle gave us 10++ prawns. i was sitting on a chair. and he walked over and say ' 小姐，你要不要多一点虾？ ' he said he was only catching them for leisure. wow~~~ shuai qi. later another younger fellow gave a few prawns to xp and lu? too.. saying that they were too small. lol. had dinner there. the chef cooked our prawns for us for only 3 bucks. with sambal chilli. delicious. the prawns were juicy. their heads were bigger than their bodies. too bad none of us liked to eat the heads.. lu was v late for her next appt. i sincerely apologise. next time we shall treat her something to make up for it.
