the saying ' what goes around comes around' is really true.. i just experienced something like that, in a positive way.
on fri, i went back to ntu for the stay-and-play event - where sec sch students, companies as well as the general public pay to see how the youth olympic village was. after helping out, the leader/person in charge started giving us tickets to the YOG opening at marina. BLACK sector. [ from what it sounds, it seems like some seats with a good view]. i wanted to ask my family, relatives, friends etc.. whether they want the tix but then i thought it was abit too last minute alr. so, since each of us had 2 tix, i passed them to another friend.
haha. then when i came home, i received a msg from my friend, asking me whether i wanted to go watch ndp preview. LOL. YEA. i sure did. lol. so ytd, jia xin and i went to watch the ndp preview under a very scorching sun. this year they gave out tote bags. like those environmentally friendly bags. 7 designs. i had one which the children's face on it. jx got something which looked a bit.. hmm.. plainer.. haha. but i thought i only saw 3/4 different designs. maybe they gave certain designs on the different previews.
anyway, thats not the focus. i thought the show was quite good. there were 2 malays sitting o my left. at first, i was pretty annoyed since one of them kept waving the flag in my face. [ like in a temple, you need to raise your joss sticks HIGH up with your arms stretched so that the smoke wont get into ppl's eyes] so irritating. first i kept quiet. then aft a while, it hit my eyelashes[yea i felt it, luckily not my eyes]. immediately i poked her and say ' eh excuse me.. ' =.= but then throughout the show, they were really enthusiastic. keep " WOOO~~~ " especially when taufik and the latest winner of singapore idol Sezairi Sezali appeared.. so.. no hard feelings against them. they made the show very enjoyable by making me high too. haha
i like the marching of the different uniformed groups. especially those in all-white. my bro says its the navy. i find them more synchronized than others. i like the dancing by the different grps. i like the mobile column. i like watching gymnasts, which performed difficult stunts while hanging to a hoop in mid-air. i like doing the padang wave. i like corrine may's and kit chan's songs. i like the Red lions. i like the fighter planes which soared vertically into the sky and i love the fireworks!
just to add on. my poor brother was recalled for reservice on the same day. i enjoyed the show while he was walking ard with a walkie talkie. LOL!
also, i thought i would like to try this colour scheme since it looked quite good on xp's blog. haha.
