somehow i think my mindset is changing. becoming lesser rigid, broader, more flexible.
let me tell you an incident:
during hp801, i was feeling very bored. i didnt know anybody taking the same course as me. the poker-face girl who sit in the same row as me placed her bag on the seat beside, effectively separating her from me and cutting off any chances of me making friends with her. the indian guy sitting on my other side, also a adj seat away, looked at me and obviously thought that i seemed unfriendly, because, he turned behind and starting introducing himself to the girl behind. i was pissed ~~~ thus, when i spotted one of my course-mate during the break, i didnt think twice about going over to join him, although i have nv spoken to him before in the one and a half sem.
he seemed very surprised/overwhelmed. he spoke very few words leh. to think ppl say i am quiet yet i was the one initiating the conversation. luckily, he didnt reply with a one-liner. not bad ba. got make small talk. [nt abt weather!] the only thing was aft we left the lt, he walked away w/o saying bye.. errr.. rude?.. maybe. maybe not. he is the 17 year-old- de. [ originally we called him 16-year-old de]. somebody super smart. smart ppl dont think the same way as ordinary ppl. no offense taken. next time i still want to sit with him. LOL. nope. im nt interested in jie-di lian. im just a friendly course-mate. i might need his help for tutorials. ^^
anw on weds, had sushi with lu, wee, xp. [ hello, next time i refer as kk np meeting hor. koh^2, neo, poh. im smart right? took me 5 mins to think of that ] ate > 40 dishes. amazing/ freaking scary right?.. the place will close down if more ppl like us patronise.. i dont feel like going again. its sinful. i had seoul garden with my sis recently. its more satisfying to go with them. the plates keep stacking up. with my sis, we take a long time to clear a plate.. and she doesnt eat high value food like prawns, fish and all those seafood.. i have to think twice before selecting the item. lol. i didnt bring my cam, next time then i get the pics from them.
