Korea [2]

[5th day] 19th DEC

We took a plane back to seoul.
Then, with the luggage still in the bus, we went to make kimchi!
ingredients for kimchi
see? the kimchi is definitely real. not fake!
my legs look long! haha
quan jia fu
my cousin, jia ren [ extreme left], really looks like a korean, doesnt he? Perhaps the females need to put that fake hair wig thingy before we look better. lol
Next was a seaweed museum.. we could see how seaweed was being made on the spot. Of course, there were samples for us to try. I thought that the seaweed didnt taste very special and didnt want to buy initially. You know the brand tao kae noi? I always eat the tom yam flavour.. lol. so this korean seaweed wasnt really outstanding..

We visited the ice sculpture museum too. First, they show a demo on how they carve the ice. Then, they gave each of us a block of ice to carve.. We had to make it into the shape of a cup. There would be awards given to the top 3 designs..
My pathetic cup. The handle broke off! AIYA. Lol. Sad... I couldnt control my strength then oops!
Cheers~
My cousin and uncle won! Woo hoo! in fact, my aunt could have gotten third but i guess it would only be fair to give a chance to the others. The guy who got third? his handle broke off while the 'judge' was lifting it up.. so i guess he had some sympathety points. ok la. not sour grapes. His cup was pretty good too. haha.

beaming with joy!
i won!another round of applause for their achievement!

Then we went to the basement where there were many ice sculptures on display. Wowow, some sculptures were really cool.

tiger- roar!

computer.. lol
welcoming the dragon year~

toilet A - moderntoilet B- olden days

mei li de hua duo
how much time was spent doing this??
hmm? i cant hear anything..

Then we were free for shopping..

For the 6th day and 7th day, i cant really remember when we went. We did go to some place for more shopping as well as some place to buy facial products. There was even a lesson held, which taught us how to use different products, masks etc. The masks i bought were from that place.. The other singaporeans are crazy... Bought so much.. If you spend over 500 000 won, you will get a free luggage to carry your things.. There were 8 families in our tour.. [ our family was given the number 4], yet i think they were at least 9 red luggage?. oh actually we did buy quite a lot too [ kim jong il passed away.. korean won depreciate.. ] and the salesperson was really convincing.. korean girls they always look good, dont they? Esp their fair complexion.. the salesperson was from china and i think she did say that 90% of koreans cut their double eyelids.. and i suppose the statistics for plastic surgery is rather high too. hahachinese food.. seriously i think the chinese food dont really taste chinese.. Is it because the chinese restaurants in sg always add a lot of msg?.. but then they dont taste like home -cooked food either. weird.
korean zha jiang mian. a must-try i suppose.. quite nice. not as salty as the type in sg
porridge mixed with red bean.. seaweed.. heard that this shop was popular. hmm not bad..
shuai!full marks for imitation!

visiting star avenue.. lotteworld. This is on the 6th day. Im sure. I was sad that it will be the last night in korea and yet happy to be able to go home soon. lol.

laser show
a dustbin.. looks like our recycling bin.. oh its hard to find dustbins in korea.. their idea of being environmentally friendly is to buy the things that they need only. Reduce!

lotteworld hotel. Wow. its the best hotel i have stayed so far. Its spacious and gives the homely yet luxurious feel. shuang! My tour guide said its not easy to book this place but because they did manage to book the hotel, we were able to spend so many hours playing at the themepark. lol. but it was evening when we reached there and there were so many students.. The waiting time for popular rides were 90 minutes. huh?! As is i would be so free to do that. We only played those that had shorter queues. Sth called gyrodrop? That was the most ci ji ride i took. You will be lifted right up to a height of how many storeys i dunno, but its really high. ALmost as tall as the hotel itself. at the top i was thinking this : crap crap crap! i shouldnt have done this. how shall i describe.. like how pick up a snail with your fingers and release it quickly.. haha. there was this upper part A which gripped the other lower part B [seats], and at the top, A will release B. B would fall almost at freefall before stopping at ground level.. that means my heart would feel like it dropped down to visit the stomach.. LOL. Other rides look really fun too but the long queue really turns us off..
zha jiang mian again.. the taste starts to grow on you. the first and only clinic i saw in korea throughout the 7 days. I had the impression that they were everywhere~~ haha

sunny sun. our replacement tour guide. not as shuai or humorous as the first but still he did his job well. He even taught us basic korean.. as in how to read the parts. heh, but im not a language person. At the airport.. leaving for homeBy the way, the ice cream tastes the same.. lolmy 3rd ice cream i think. see how round my face become.. the food was better than the one served when we were leaving sg. haha.

It was a good holiday.. I really enjoyed myself. We didnt have to worry about accommodation, transport and food etc.. so even though most ppl think that going with tour is troublesome i think its still pretty good. Let me promote SA tour can? haha. Go korea again? yes? no? maybe.. Chances arent high. the world is so big.. i would like to finishing exploring other parts of asia first. i do get abit annoyed going to somewhere where i cant understand the language. haha

Thats all for my korea trip~
